It kind of looks like a streamliner loco going backwards, certainly.
Which reminds me of two things:
1. The Chrysler Airflow had its unusual styling inspired by the discovery that cars of the day were more aerodynamic going backwards.
2. There is a “Mallard” travel trailer I pass parked about once a week that looks enough like the LNER “Mallard ” streamliner that I get a private snicker every time.
I’m a little flummoxed trying to ID the cab in your original post. May be an International.
